I was holding out for BB3 to get into the new ruleset, but honestly, I think the beta is selling me on getting into Fumbl. There is plenty of promise to team customization and the players are a great graphical upgrade, but the game itself feels terrible to play right now. The camera feels bad, there are too many extraneous elements on the screen at one time, and who thought the vignetting was a good idea? Readability of players against the field feels like it's at an all-time low too. Everything either takes an unnecessary amount of time (Camera is constantly being dragged from your control and forcing you to see an animation to completion before moving on to your next player or rolling multiple sets of dice where one would suffice), or things flash across the screen so fast, you can't even tell what happened (Your opponent blocking you). Honestly, I thought people were likely exaggerating when it came to their BB3 complaints.īut the UI is TERRIBLE. ![]()
